The event has been going on for 26 years at Arlington National Cemetery and is designed to honor the men and women who’ve served in the U.S. armed forces. The tradition began when Maine wreath maker Morrill Worcester donated 5,000 wreaths to Arlington Cemetery. Donations from individuals and corporations have helped the wreath laying tradition continue.
